This week’s discussion question:

Briefly summarize a current women’s health issue that impacts women globally or here in the United States. You may discuss an issue mentioned in Ch. 1, Ch. 3 or from this week’s article on COVID-19’s impact on women (Links to an external site.). You must include a citation from the textbook or article and provide a page number in your answer.

Citations can be in the following format: (Alexander, p. 18).

Part A: Part A is worth a total of 10 points. Please post a paragraph (75-word minimum, 300 word maximum) answering my discussion question (5 points). In addition, please write your own discussion question* related to the week’s assigned reading (5 points). This response is due by 11:59pm Thursday, 2/18/2021.
*Here are a couple of tips on how to write a good discussion question:

Good discussion questions are “open-ended.” They inspire complex answers or a range of possible responses rather than a single, discrete answer. Consequently, “Yes/No” questions should be avoided.

Part B: To foster discussion and community in our class, you are required to read and reply to one of your peer’s discussion forum questions (75-word minimum, 300 word maximum) by 11:59pm Sunday, 2/21/2021. Part B is worth 5 points.

These weekly discussion replies are worth a combined total of 15 points each week. We will have seven discussion forums (parts A and B) this semester, which are worth 36% of your total grade. They are important to the learning objectives of our course and offer us a way to learn from one another.
