On the 29th of August, 2015 I went to the store to buy some biking accessories, getting ready for college season. I did not see the price of the biking set that I liked, so I had to walk around the store to find one salesperson to ask about it. The person – a young employee of around 20 years old – told me that it was not his department, and I should be waiting next to the product to get some help. He did not offer to find the person who was responsible for that department or to check online for the price. I was already disappointed, and went back to see if there were any alternative products on display that had the price stated on. After browsing about 5 minutes, I spotted another employee and decided to approach her. She simply told me that the product in question was simply overpriced and she did not believe I would like to spend that much money on biking equipment.
Disappointed and hurt by the rude and disrespectful treatment, I left the store without making a formal complaint, but decided that I should let the management know about the customer service issues this particular store is experiencing. I heard from other shoppers that they had bad experience at Walmart with young, poorly trained personnel.
I request that the management of Walmart acknowledges my complaint in writing and advises me of the steps it is willing to take to resolve the above described issue.
