You will assume the role of the I/O psychologist in the case study and you will write a memo to the leader in response to her request. In the memo, you are expected to clearly articulate the ethical dilemmas and legal issues presented in the case, explain how you would resolve them, and present an ethically and legally sound alternative solution. When ethical dilemmas and legal issues arise in the field, you may be tempted or even pressured to make a decision immediately; however, it is important to get into the habit of carefully analyzing the issues, identifying relevant ethical standards and laws, considering the stakeholders involved, and contemplating possible resolutions. This assignment, and the others in the coming weeks, are designed to help you develop this habit.To prepare for this Assignment:

Revisit the ethical dilemmas and legal issues related to employee assessment and selection
Review the APA Ethics Code and Chapter 11 in the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing. Consider which standards and laws you would apply to resolve the ethical dilemmas and legal issues in the case.
Review the articles, “Building World-Class Ethics and Compliance Programs” and “Corporate Ethics and Compliance Programs: A Report, Analysis and Critique.” Think about if and how you would engage the organization’s internal ethics and compliance processes to resolve the ethical dilemmas and legal issues.
Identify an ethically and legally sound alternative solution to the desired assessment that would still meet the needs of the leader.
