Indicative Assessment Requirements for the Module: –

You have recently been hired as a graduate trainee by a multinational organisation on

completing your undergraduate studies. The company has recently been undergoing rapid change due to strategic and environmental

reasons. One of the challenges managers are facing is how to respond to the new challenge of managing a workforce that is increasingly diverse.

The senior management has approached you for advice on the issue.

You are required to complete following Task 1 and Task 2 with reference to this assignment question:

Task 1 – Academic Report-3000 words (50% Weight) (+/- 10% variation in word length accepted)

Prepare a report to senior management on how an organisation can effectively respond to the challenge of managing a diverse workforce effectively.

Include in your report, a critical evaluation of workforce diversity for 21st century organisations and a set

of recommendations (at least 4) to the attention of senior management about how the manag ement of workforce diversity can be enhanced.

Task 2-Power Point Slides Presentation with notes – (50% Weight)

Prepare a maximum of 10-12 Power Point Slides with supporting notes with reference to the Assignment Question for presentation to senior management.

Description of Assessment Requirements

• All assignments must be word processed – handwritten assignments will attract an automatic FAIL grade.

• The assignment should be in a report format.

• Assignments will be graded on the basis of research done, analysis of the facts collated,

stand taken and the justification of the stand.

• All research must be referenced using the Harvard Style of Referencing and a Reference

and Bibliography list attached. Improper or lack of either of these constitutes plagiarism and students will be awarded a Zero.

• Students found copying from other students will also be charged with collusion and

awarded a Zero.
