A strong workforce is determined by the strategy an organization uses to empower employees (Dessler, 2019). There are various compensations and benefits an organization can offer to improve the commitment of the workforce. To recruit employees, the organization should consider offering benefit programs to the life of the employees. Organizations that offer benefit programs to its employees have a higher probability of winning the hearts of most employees than the one which does not. An example of such programs is insurance cover. This makes the employees believe that they are safe with the organization; thus, their desire to be associated with the organization increases.
There are different ways an organization can attract talents. Every person has the potential to give the best out of them if only they are motivated. Trusting employees with leadership in the organization makes them motivated. They feel that they own the organization. They become more responsible and committed to achieving organizational goals. Also, giving employees time to do their activities can help employees have a refreshed mind all the time. This allows employees to enhance their social life. Apart from attracting, employees also need to feel engaged in the organization. Employee engagement can be determined by measuring their commitment level (Dessler, 2019). After determining an employee’s engagement, an organization can improve its engagement by formulating clear organizational goals. Goals should be easy to understand and connect to the employee’s mindset. That is, employees’ work should contribute to the success of the business.
Organizations always look for the best employees and strive to retain them. Retaining employees is a continuous process (Dessler, 2019). The organization needs to regularly reward its employees to gain an employee’s trust continuously. For example, the organization should consider increasing the employee’s salaries as a way of motivating them. Otherwise, the employee would consider transferring to other organizations where they are paid better salaries. It is also beneficial for leaders to respect their employees. This creates a free environment where every stakeholder has freedom in the organization. Also, it is the leader’s responsibility to assign duties equally according to the employee’s skills. Assigning duties helps to keep employees committed. They also feel that they have a role to play in the organization.

Organizations can offer great benefits to attract and retain employees. Some benefits could be healthcare, having a good healthcare benefit can attract people. It can also keep employees in the organization because they have a great benefit. Another one would be paid time off. The company that i work for gives me 7 weeks paid time off. This is a great benefit and will appeal to a diverse workforce. Another great benefit is retirement benefits, weather it being a pension or a 401k this could help be a attractor for potential employees. Some things that organizations have to consider would be how long employees are with the company and their age. People who have been with the company longer should have more vacation time than someone starting out new. where i work when you start you get 2 weeks paid time off and after you have been there a few years they add more. I have 7 weeks because i have been working there 9 years.
