Besides, the long term benefits for breast feeding in babies include reduced risk for diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes, obesity, asthma, celiac disease, and sleep disordered breathing. For mothers, breast feeding is essential in reducing risks for postpartum infection, significant weight loss, and improved bonding with the infant. Therefore, owing to this undeniable importance of breast feeding, this paper takes a position that employers should provide favorable workplace policies that facilitates breastfeeding.
