The purpose of this assignment is to encourage you to apply the concepts learned in class to everyday/real world issues. For full credit, you should be sure to answer all of the questions as well as apply all course concepts correctly. In addition, you are expected to use one (1) outside source (preferably a journal article or information from a REPUTABLE website; wikipedia would not be considered reputable; the National Institutes of Health website would be considered reputable) to support your argument. The assignment should be uploaded via the SafeAssign Link on Blackboard.

- Given your theory, what hypothesis do you plan test with your study? (1 sentence)
- Using the information discussed in class and from your textbook, talk about how you might go about testing your hypothesis. For example, would you use an experimental or non-experimental study? What are your independent and dependent variables? What issues will you consider to ensure that your study has high internal and/or external validity? (This should be the longest part of your paper.)
- If your hypothesis is correct, briefly discuss what that finding would mean for you or the people you care about. (1 to 2 sentences)
- Find an outside source that addresses your research question. Briefly discuss what the research found; did it support or disconfirm your hypothesis? (3 to 4 sentences)
