A student’s academic progress is determined by measuring both the quality of the student’s academic work and the number of credits earned compared to the number of credits attempted. The Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Committee has reviewed your record at Fisher College and must regrettably inform you that you have not made satisfactory academic progress and you have been academically dismissed from the college.
If you plan to appeal the decision of the committee, send a letter by email to the attention of Dean 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10th if you wish to be considered for re-admittance for the Spring Semester. Appeals will be considered by a committee and you will be notified of their recommendation and the final decision. Your appeal letter should include:
· A description of any extraordinary situations or unusual difficulties you encountered that should be considered in this appeal.
· Your strategies for future success if allowed to continue at the college.
· The letter should be a minimum of 2 pages and professionally written.
Students who have been dismissed and have registered for classes will be removed from all future classes by the College Registrar. Dismissed resident students will be removed from the Housing list on the date of their dismissal.
