Write My Essay For Me

Prof. Andrade

Due Saturday midnight at the end of finals week

Decision-making requires reliable data and information. Yet, in building his reasons for sending American soldiers to kill and die in Vietnam, President Lyndon Baines Johnson was presented with falsified memos, tainted intelligence reports and outright lies about the situation on the ground in the divided country.

President Johnson was a demanding boss and one thing he begged for was rosy intelligence about the war in the countryside, the bombing of the North and the stability of the South Vietnamese government after the Diem assassination.

QUESTION: Using only the course materials, explain how misrepresented US intelligence, the corrupted data that flowed from Vietnam to President Johnson, impacted his decisions during the escalations.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND STRUCTURE: First, explain how you know from the sources that LBJ asked his staff and advisors to lie to him. Second, explain the impact of this demand on the war at these critical moments.

NOTE 1: You have already done two drafts of a key body paragraph for the essay – your Summary Task about “LBJ demands optimism” answers one aspect of the question, but needs to be fleshed out over the course of a full essay with additional details. Use quotations, paraphrases and summaries to get your answer across.

NOTE 2: This question is more specific than the task paragraph. The question here indicates that I am asking how and why LBJ was demanding to be lied to when his staff informed him about the war. This specific answer was modelled in my Model Paragraph #1 annotation on your first draft of the summary task.

Requirements and Minimums

A unified, content-predictive thesis that reflects a manner of thinking about this issue in every body paragraph. Answer the question by unifying the elements of your argument.

Vivid details about the moment and the man from research from the Young book, with some data and arguments from documentaries in support of Young’s position. Explain the Johnson Administration’s failures to accurately account for delivered intelligence during its invasion of South Vietnam and bombing of the North. No glittering generalities about “the world” or “people” – develop using details like dates, terms and names.

Use a mixture of direct quotation, summary and paraphrase from Young and the documentaries – apply all your source integration techniques. Build your paragraphs with relevant source material, centering your body paragraphs on the statistics, stories, quotations and events from Young and the documentaries. Write about the writing – interrogate the words and phrases to build commentary.

Good paragraphing – unified, coherent and fully developed, built around relevant material from the Young book and the documentaries. A controlled and focused topic sentence accompanied by your source’s data, each of which is explained in its value and relevance. Your readers need your input, your guidance. Data and textual interpretation develops in every body paragraph.

Unify all paragraphs around the point you will use about “the LBJ Administration’s collection of misrepresented intelligence”, using Young’s text and the documentaries for gathering conclusive answers. Answer the question asked in every body paragraph. Use an outline.

Speaking of outlining, please attach your final working outline for your essay submission.

2000 or so words in length. Five plus pages. In addition, make sure you add your “Works Cited” page.

MLA Format Requirements

Any essay that drops in quotes without introduction, integration and parenthetical citation will be subject to immediate failure. Use a signal phrase with every story, statistic, quotation, summary and paraphrase to integrate your sources; follow the source material with a proper MLA parenthetical.

Distinguish between opinions of documentary voices, Young, her sources and the makers/defenders/critics of this conflict. This distinction should be clear in your signal phrases and parentheticals.

Use Young’s book. I am asking for evidence from Young – the documentaries are there for support. Young should be the primary source, but the documentaries can be used to support your view on the question presented.

A “Works Cited” page that lists the Young book and any other sources you use in proper MLA Format.
