Staff aides must be at least 18 years old and volunteers must be supervised and deemed to be qualified by the director. For all groups except for the infants, 2 adults must be available because there are more than 9 children. For infants, there must be one staff member for every 5 infants, so 2 in this case. One staff member for every 5 toddlers (12 to 36 months), so 2 in this case. One staff member is needed for every 7 toddlers (36 months to 3 years), so 2 are needed in this group. For pre-school and pre-kindergarten, 2 adults will be needed as well. Last, 3 staff members will be needed for the mixed-age group.
