This assignment is worth 20 points total. To start off our class, I would like you to introduce yourself to everyone by explaining in 4-5 sentences why a particular work of art is appealing to you. In this class, we have a very broad definition of art. Basically anything visual that communicates an idea. So this could be something in a museum, an advertisement, record cover, architecture, a tattoo, etc. What do you like about the work of art you have chosen? Why?
Submit your answer of four to five sentences. Be sure to include a picture of your artwork in your post. You can do that using the “Embed Image” button in the tool bar. (It is a rectangle with two connected triangular mountains and a circular sun.) You will have to upload a picture to your Canvas account first via the Images tab on the upper right. When you click on the Embed Image link, you will see a box that allows you to either add a URL that links to an image – or you will need to upload your image to Canvas. In order to do this, click on “Canvas” (after you have clicked on the Embed Image icon), then click on Course Files, and then upload your image. There will be a possible 15 points total for your written answer and for including the image and 5 points for responding to one other person’s post.
